post op day 6...and counting...

Hi everyone...
Well, first I want to thank you all who responded and gave me support the day before my surgery (TAH the 22nd). And now, here I am...I came home from the hosp on Sunday morning...taking it easy, doing great, not too much pain...my big concern was my bowels...I figure that'll all come right in the end as it were.
So, today I thought I could do without my antiinflammatry med...( celebrex...ordered post op). I was doing great...just a bit of plain tylenol. I was so good in fact that I accompanied my husband to the mall to do a very few errands. I had my staples out earlier in the afternoon. Wow...my tummy is so sore right now...and I feel like I want to throw up....ewwww.....
I guess I now humbly know that I should have listened to my doctor....who knew they knew best?
I'll be more careful from now on...I guess some of us have to learn the hard way....
back to asking for help and positive imagery...
later, gypsydog...

rest rest rest!! I'm 7 days post op and made the mistake of trying to take a little walk. I ended up pulling something, my doc has me on strict rest until I see him tomorrow for staple removal. Ugh!
