Every time I get near my doctor I swear I have this blank look on my face. Even after the surgery. If it weren't for my DH asking questions after, I seriously wouldn't have had a clue to what just happened to me.

That's another thing... If you have a husband/partner/friend/family member going with you, prepare them with questions to ask after the surgery. My DH was a very active member of my recovery and I was so out of it he spoke to my doc for me. I didn't get to see my doc again until the next day but I already knew everything I wanted to know because my DH asked for me. Some people wake up and are really alert. I, on the other hand, just slept and slept.

Yup..today is gorgeous and in the 50's, but they are forecasting snow on surgery day Friday!! I always love the first snow day. And how nice it would be to have it on surgery day. A little blessing from Mother Nature.

I grew up in MA and spent quite a few years in the Seattle area. I travel a lot for business and I always look forward to coming back home to Alaska. There is no other place like it.

I enjoyed my time there too. I still go up monthy and will for Christmas. My DH still works up there for the next 4 months. I used to work out on the ramp in anchorage for fun and my favorite thing was to watch the 747's land, taxi and take off. I have a lot of cool pics. Total plane junkie.

30 years in aviation...work for the FAA now LOL!
