Help! Spotting, pain 4wks post op

Hello-
I had my DaVinci hysterectomy on June 4th. Tomorrow I will be 4wks post op. The past 3 days on my lower left abdominal side and lower back on the left plus hip has been hurting. Today I woke to spotting. Yesterday was the first time I actually went out to a store for the first time since the hysterectomy with hubby and kids. I would have just stayed home but our power had been out thanks to a opossum and so the electric company was out working on it. Has any of you had these symptoms? Did I over do it? Could something be wrong? Any answers/info would be much appreciated. I am thinking I am now going to have to rethink our 4th of July plans because of all this. I am beginning to regret the hysterectomy thanks to feeling better for a couple days and then hit with setbacks. Don't think I will ever be back to normal

Thanks in advance.

Re: Help! Spotting, pain 4wks post op

Give it time - you will be back to normal! I am a few days ahead of you and can totally understand your frustration at the recovery process. It seems like we take a step forward and then have a giant leap backwards. I find that if I am on my feet for a while, everything just hurts, particularly on my right side. Although the external incisions have healed, everything on the inside takes much longer to heal. I find that I have a 'busy day' but then need to have a day of doing not very much at all to recover. I have also had some pinkish spotting (not red) after a busy day on my feet.
It won't be much longer before you are having more good days than bad days

Thank you. That makes me feel better knowing that I am not the only one.
