Hot Flashes and Night Sweats

Anyone out there that can tell me when my ovaries will start working again! Any tips on what worked for you to keep this under control. I've heard Soy, no caffine, no CHOCOLATE. I'm 4 weeks post op. Had a SAH left one ovary.

I am 5 weeks post op and the night sweats have not stopped completely nor have the hot flashes, but they are becoming much less frequent.

the last couple days my husband said, "HEY the sheets are dry this morning!" LOL

I dealing with the same and eager to find some additional help relieve these symptoms. Mine just started kicking in so not suffering as bad as some, but also want to be ahead of the game.

I haven't found anything to stop them. I think they just have to run their course, BUT I could be wrong as I haven't actually tried anything. I think they are coming to end (I hope!)

Seems like mine started to subside around the sixth or eighth week. Can't remember. But I totally hear ya on the wet sheets thing. I've never experienced anything like it. It was like I sprayed my bed down with water before I got in it. I never tried any remedies. My doc just said it would work itself out and it did.

today makes 3yrs for me and I still have them from time to time. The night sweats aren't as bad, but I still have hot flashes. Hubby gets mad at me when i stand with the freezer door open. I told him I if I could climb in I would. Winter time I stand with the window open. I wish I new what to do. I talk to doc, but he don't want to put me on anything because I'm so young.

i had night sweats and hot flashes for about two weeks. it seems like anything from weeks to months is normal. hang in there!
