Scheduled LAVH/BSO May 4 is coming up fast! Feeling nervous!

Hi All,

First let me say that I'm so grateful for this website! I've learned so much just exploring the many articles, forums and videos. I'm the type of person who likes to know how and why of everything. I even enjoyed watching a video of how this type of surgery is performed.

I'm surprised that I'm nervous about this upcoming surgery. I didn't expect to feel this way after all, I've had two C-sections and a cholecystectomy so I'm not new to surgeries.

Because of those past surgeries one of the things that concerns me is how much scar tissue my surgeon will run into once the surgery starts.

I love seeing all the support you all give one another and I hope that I can help others along the way!

I have also had 2 cesareans and my gallbladder removed. We at first thought my adenomyosis was endo, but I had a diagnostic lap last year and I was shocked to hear there was zero scar tissue from previous surgeries.

Rest assured that even if you have some, it's just another walk in the park for your doc, they see this allllll the time and know how to deal with it.

Also wanted to say that your surgery is on national star wars day. "May the 4th be with you"
:-)

You should totally say that to your surgical team hehe

Wow it's very cool that you didn't have any scar tissue! Now I can hope for the same findings.
While I'm not a "Trekie" I might use that line...it would be funny!

Lol Trekkie is for star trek, not star wars

Yeah I was totally shocked, so was he. Just with all the pain I was in and the surgeries, I figured I would be full of scar tissue, and so did the doctor. Nope, nothing, not a single bit. Apparently it's just a ginormous uterus causing the pain.
