Home and happy

I spent 8 days instead of 3 in the castle. Several weird things happened including kidney shut down, heart fib and pneumonia. I was so well taken care of by 4 doctors, the nurses and other caregivers. If anyone lives in the Los Angeles area, I can recommend Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale/La Canada highly.

Since I ended up in the cardiac unit, I had a consult with the nutritionists who let me choose my food with in their guidelines. I really was NOT hungry and the thought of real food was nauseating, so I usually had fresh food and cottage cheese. My family brought in fruit smoothies.

Now I'm home and doing nothing, not even folding laundry. I am being waited on hand and foot by daughter and neice. My Son in law comes in to discuss literature with me. (I'm re-readin,g on audible, Jane Eyre.) My 16 month old grandson comes and jumps around on the bed and we watch Baby Einstien on my laptop. I keep one of those long body pillows between him and me, so I don't get jumped on. Other than that I watch BBC America, read a magazine or two and do my Italian lessons. Wonder how long I can stetch this lazy behavior out?

Hi Plummie

Glad to hear you are home now and doing much better! Sounds like you have been through an awful lot...and were very well taken care of!

As for stretching out that lazy behavior...milk it, honey! Milk it for all it's worth! You deserve it!

Good luck and hope your recovery is as smooth as mine was! Life is good!

I am so glad to hear you are doing well. I am from the Pasadena area (Monrovia, CA) and my surgery is set for the 16th of August. <Hospital name removed for your safety and privacy>. Sounds like you have been and are being well taken care of!

Take care

Good luck to you. If you are having your surgery in the big brown building with the arcade, you will be well taken care of.

I hope your's is a little smoother than mine. I am such a drama queen
