Questioning my desicion ....again

I am scheduled for my surgery tomorrow and I am starting to question my deicion again. I want to feel better I am tired of being in so much pain I can't walk and tired of taking pain pills. My husband can't have anymore children and we have two great kids but still I feel sad about loosing my option. I really wish I would have found this site ealier on. I had no idea the number of questions I didn't even think about asking! Or didn't even think about getting a second opinion. You would think that after having a monthly period for 18 years i would be ready to be done with it but yet I wonder if I will still feel like a woman I am sure that sounds crazy. Everyone person I have spoke to about it says it was the best desicon they made. I know I am not the only person who feels this way but I need some encouragement! Thanks y'all!

Re: Questioning my desicion ....again

It is the best decision if you are having pain. I have been in pain for 20plus yrs and finally found a dr to tell me what it was. I had my surgery LAVH everything removed Dec 2. I'm still healing but by this time I would have had 2 very painful periods that lasted sometimes 2weeks. think of all the things you will be able to do now. no more planning around your body. no more SURPRISE guess whats here. You will be fine and it will change your life for the better.
good luck tomorrow.

That would be my answer, but if you are not comfortable, get another opinion. It is not too late to do that.

Re: Questioning my desicion ....again

Thanks y'all I feel better in my desicion to have the surgery. I know if I were to cancel I would only be rescheduling. I know I will feel better not being in pain. Thanks for pointing that part out to me. I love the support I get here. Thanks again!

Re: Questioning my desicion ....again

I think lots of us question if this is the right decision, especially as the date gets closer. I have read so many posts where all the women say the same thing that they fear they won't feel like a woman anymore. I think it's only natural to feel that way. I was completely against the surgery at first, but the pain quickly changed my mind. I think you have normal nerves and this will pass.
Best Wishes
