Nausea/ Upset Stomach???
Hey ladies, has anyone experienced prolonged nausea from this surgery? I feel like I constantly have an upset stomach. I'm making sure to eat several small meals/ snacks throughout the day; but still just don't feel right. I have Zofran, but it seems like I shouldn't be needing it at this point. I'm 4 weeks tomorrow from hyster and 2 weeks tomorrow from a large abdominal hernia repair. I've never experienced nausea beyond a few days to a week after surgery. Also, I thought maybe it was constipation; but I have since went and cleared that and stil feel it. I've also went without pain meds and with and it doesn't make a difference.

Re: Nausea/ Upset Stomach???
I also experience really bad nausea when I over do it or am really tired and not laying down when I know I should. I also thought it was constipation, but I was just plain over doing it, but that's me. Maybe mention to your MD if it persists?

Re: Nausea/ Upset Stomach???
I had the same problem. I had to give a stool sample and blood to rule out infection, food poisoning & celiac. I also had extreme hot flashes as I had a tah and my overies were removed. The doc said sometimes when the menopause strikes suddenly, it can cause bowel looseness, nausea etc..anyway I started hrt on a low dose and after a week the stomach problem was sorted...it may be worth speaking to your doc... xxxx
