Feelings

Hi, this is my first time using this wonderful website. I had my surgrey Aug 31 of this year. Everything was removed. I've had my good days, but today I'm feeling down, depressed I'm hurting. Is all this normal?

Welcome! It sounds pretty normal, but since I'm not a DR you might want to call him/her and make sure everything is going as planned. It never hurts to ask. Feeling blue may have something to do with your hormone level. If you are having pain, you may have just over did it, but pain is also a signal of infection, etc. Don't worry, you're probably fine, but I'd make that phone call if I were you. Keep us posted.

to Hystersisters, I'm so glad you found us. Since you've already had your surgery, you may want to check out our Post-op message board to see what advice the ladies there have for you.

The journey following a hysterectomy certainly has a lot of ups and downs, doesn't it? I personally had several down days as I started to increase my activity level. I found I wan't able to keep up with my normal schedule, and although I knew I was still healing, I was depressed and frustrated that I couldn't do more. I'd say things finally hit a more even keel around the 10-week mark, thank heavens.
