bruising

I am 2 days post op, had Da Vinci. My five incisions are at the level of my belly button. I have a little bruising at my incision sites, and have noticed quite a bit of bruising on my lower abdomen, and on my labia. Anyone else have bruising?

Re: bruising

Yeah I had that too. I do bruise quite easily anyway so was not surprised. You should have seen the bruising around the site where the iv needle was, on side of arm below thumb and wrist, was huge and turned quite hideous colours. They do eventually fade.
Happy healing!

Re: bruising

I had mine on the 23rd Feb, so about 11days post and still covered in bruises, I also had a lot of injections in the 5 days after so my poor legs are still black. My iv bruising came up 5 days post op and where horrific.

I have a HUGE bruise on my right side. It is as if somebody socked me several times in the side. Black and blue and ugly. Tender to the touch. The doc said it was due to their irrigating the abdomen after surgery. There was quite a bit of leakage as well.

My doc said it was as he expected but it scared the bejeebus out of me. I hadn't heard anything about brusing before. All but that one incision looks okay. The right one? Ugh! Nightmare.
