Post op 4 days BM issues
So today is my 4th day post op and I still have not been able to have a bowel movement. Anyone else had issues?? Or any advise could give? Very uncomfortable and distended belly as still have not passed all the air yet  hugs

I think we all have/had issues with that one. I know I sure am. I think I found my cure. Hot prune juice and warm pears. Been munching on dry fiber cereal. Today was a happy day. . It takes a bit to trust Ur stomach enough to relax. I'm just now making that progress. .. Gasx for gas pains.

I starting taking 2 laxatives a day on the day after surgery...by day 4....it worked!!!!! And I pooped ALOT that day....so I stopped taking any laxatives and so far its been pretty good!

I didnt poop for 7 days!! I took 2 stool softners every day and finally took milk of magnesium three days and finally got to go! It will come out eventually. Lol

It gets better. I was able to poop on day 5. I took Miralax and some stool softners and the occasional drink of prune juice. Also, keep drinking lots of water. I am now 6 days post op.
