pain after intercourse continued..............

I posted yesterday about pain after intercourse and want to thank those of you who responded. It seems that whenever I read a post the next day it disappears............should I be marking it somewhere unread?? Anyway, the other pelvic problem I am having is a bout of cystits after the intercourse as well. I have been diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis in addtion to the gyn problems and stick to a fairly decent diet. I have had bladder instillations, etc, etc.... It just seems that every so often after intercourse I get bladder infections or just plain inflamation. So, in addittion to the pain with adeno and intercourse a day later the bladder sets in. I am having a really hard time with all this. Does anyone else have bladder problems along with gyn problems?? I have read that endometriosis, Interstitial Cystitis, Fibromylagia, Migraines, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Allergies all seem to go hand in hand. Or at least a lot of women have these same conditions in common. Just curious if anyone else has these problems with the bladder, especially after intercourse and what you do. I took Bactrim with dinner and will take it tomorrow and that should probably make it feel better. I have had bladder problems my whole life and have antibiotics on hand for hwne htese situations arise. There was a time that my uro had me take them prophylactically prior to and after intercourse. Oh well, hopefully tomorrow will be better day. I have to go in for my pre-op testing............then Mon is the surgery.
Thanks again,
Mel

Mela...

Pre-op is a very busy and fast moving forum. Threads drop to page 2 or 3 sometimes in matter of hours! Just scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see numbers for the subsequent pages.

Also, check your preferences to make sure you request email notification for threads to which you are subscribed. Then you won't miss any replies to your posts.

Hope this helps a little!

Hi Mela!

I just replied to your other post then found this one a little farther down the line. I had a similar thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. I was post-period (day 12 or so) and I had this really bad afternoon. I woke up with low backache and abdominal cramping/discomfort. By noon it was more along the lines of painful - plus I had all the symptoms of a bladder infection! I laid down for about 45 minutes (feeling like I had to pee the entire time) and when I woke up the bladder thing was gone altogether. I still can't figure this one out. I swear, I went to sleep thinking I needed to get to the store for cranberry juice!

I am just SO hoping some of this weird stuff gets taken care of after surgery!

Good luck and keep posting - every little bit helps all of us!
