Sorry for the delicate question but I am sched. to have surgery for a prolapsed uterus with repairs to the A/P. Everything now looks like a bulge (weird) Just wondering if anyone chould shed some light on how it looks (no more bump??) and how does it feel post -op (hopefully wearing pants will feel better)

Don't scare yourself by looking for quite a while after your op, shark, as everything will be quite swollen and in the process of healing for some time.

Once this has settled you will notice that you are much more comfortable, in fact you won't be aware of 'down there' at all.

Good luck!!

How does it look "down there"after surgery?

I'm only 3 weeks post op as of tomorrow for TVH with AP repair but I'm too scared to look just yet. I haven't touched either because I'm scared about that too. I do enjoy the fact that when I sit down, I no longer feel like I'm sitting on my insides and don't feel everything hanging and pulling in my private area. Well, you have the same thing so you know what I'm saying. It's so uncomfortable and I'm glad that it's gone.

I'm looking forward to the day when I can stop wearing a snaitary napkin as I've been wearing one for 12 years due to my prolapse and leakage. I suppose a couple of more weeks won't kill me but I will be SO HAPPY when I can bid them a fond farewell.

PM me if you'd like and keep in touch and I will keep you informed if I do get brave enough to look at anything.

Good luck to you.

4 weeks post-op...

and no more pink bulge here!

I didn't look for quite a while, as I was aware I'd be swollen down there. I feel tons better. Am still sore from the surgery, but it's a healing kind of sore instead of a "my insides are falling out" kind. Good Luck!!
