made it through my first day of work

I am now at myy four week mark.
I went to work yesterday. It was my first day at a new job.
I was very nervous.
I did great. I worked from 8-5. My coo workers were very understanding. I was able to sit whenever I needed to.
I had an hour lunch. So I went home sat in my recliner and put a heating pad on my swollen bellly.
When my tummy swelled it felt tight and heavy.
I made it the rest of the day.
I was very tired when I got home.
Made dinner and wentt to bed.
Not really hurting to bad just achy all over and tired.

I'm off two days then I work five hour shifts..... ug

I wwork five days straight eight hour. Shifts.....

I am in week 6 and I also get to go back to work finally on Mon.

I'm glad all went well for you. That's a great idea to pop home and go semi-horizontal during your lunch break, that will help the swelly belly no end. Maybe try and take it super easy over the next 2 days to set yourself up for the next series of shifts. Good luck.

I'm lucky I live less than five minutes away from work.
Also elastic waist pants...

Oh yes, elastic waist trousers.......post-op clothing sent from heaven :-)

I bough elastic waist pants one size bigger than I usually wear. I also have scrubs I can wear. I am going to put together easy meals this weekend fo r the week.
Trying to plan ahead.

And yes I wouldn't have made I trough the day if I hadn't rested during lunch.
