Home Now - Feeling Comfortable

I am three days post op. I was supposed to have the Da Vinci but when I was tilted toward my head my diaphragm was pressing on my lungs and the anesthesiologist could not keep air in them. The doctor did an abdominal instead. I was walking around the floor since the first night, I wanted to go home to bad! I had a hard time passing gas/stool. Finally the doctor let me have milk because I knew that would make my bowels work because I'm slightly lactose intolerant.

I'm pretty comfortable because of the meds and my abdomen is so huge! My incision is glued together instead of stitches. It hurts getting up from a lying down position so I am camped on the couch with pillows under my knees and behind my head.

I have been told everyday will get better, so I am always looking forward to the next day.

Good luck and prayers for everyone!

Re: Home Now - Feeling Comfortable

I'm so glad you're feeling better. Relax and take care of yourself. It does take quite a bit of time to recover. Pamper the princess
