Pre op scheduled

Gosh, now it seems to be happening so quickly!

My pre op is now scheduled for May 8, which is 6 days prior to my Castle visit. The lady called and was so sweet. I can't believe I'm under 3 weeks!

I had mentioned that I have ordered a gift basket for my nurses. I ordered it from my friend, who owns a homemade chocolate shop here in town. She and I have a dance recital 2 days before my surgery, so she is going to go ahead and make it that morning, and either deliver it, or give it to my dad, who will be in town. I ordered white and milk chocolate pretzel sticks, white and milk chocolate covered Oreos, and chocolate chip cookies. They have all been sampled (ahem LOL) by me, and have my seal of approval.

So, what do I do with this? Just set it in my room and let the nurses know to dig in?

You could keep it in your room, but I did this too and had it delivered to the nurses station where they could all enjoy it without coming into my room and disturbing me unless it was necessary.

Best wishes

Pre op scheduled

I had a basket of goodies and put in in my room with a note that said " Thank you and please help yourself". Even my dr enjoyed it. When I was ready to leave, I left it at the nurses station.

Best wishes.

I was going to have my husband give ours to the nurses at the station. Then someone said if you keep it in your room they will come in all the time and check on you when they want a goodie. Someone else said they did that, in the room, and the nurses still did not come in and all the visitors ate it. So, my current plan is TWO boxes of Sees Candy. One for the nurses station and one for the room.
