Sexual dysfunction 6-8 weeks post hysterectomy
Okay, getting a little personal here, but I am wondering if anyone who is 6-8 weeks post op has had sex with their partner and noticed things were just not the same?
I am 38 years old and have a high drive so when the doctor gave the ok, I felt ready. My problem is that I cannot have an orgasm. The sensation is there, nothing feels uncomfortable or hurts, but once the intensity builds up.......there is nothing. I know that because I no longer have a uterus there will no longer be contractions, but this is really depressing me.
Any advise out there?

Re: Sexual dysfunction post-op
Give it time. I'm not saying that it will get better for sure, but I know I still have times that it isn't as intense, but I also have times where it is SO Much better!!
Our bodies have gone through a huge change, and it takes a long time to fully heal.
One thing you might consider, if you are comfortable with it, is to use masturbation as a "practice" method until your body is more comfortable with its new self? Our minds (and bodies) are funny creatures, and while you may think you are all good, there could be the nagging thought in the back of your head, and each time you are unable to orgasm, it adds to that thought. If you masturbate alone and work yourself back into it (AND give it time, as I said above), then it might take some pressure off that invisible thought??
