Re: brusing to vagina post hysterectomy

Hi Mrs. M,

I had a TVH on April 1st. I had no bruising or swelling in my vaginal area or on my labia. You should probably ask your doctor about it. Cold packs might help the bruising to heal faster. Wish I had more advise. Hang in there.

Re: brusing to vagina post hysterectomy

I had a TAH on March 29, 11 and had horrible labia bruising. It was also really swollen. It looked like the blood had just polled to that one area. My dr was a lil shocked at how badly it was bruised. It not visibly bruised now but still hurts, maybe even worse now. Hurts to sit. I can close my legs. Even the pubic mons, the top of the vagina, is sore to the touch. It's just very uncomfortable. Ice packs do help to numb it but after they wear off the pain is still there. Im still in alot of pain in general even with my pain management. I am on a 50mcg Fentanyl, 75 mg of Nucynta every 4 hours and Motrin around the clock. I am hoping the pain will break for me and for you as well. Wish I could help you more. Stay positive dear.
