5wks and much better

Just joined HysterSisters today and you can see my new sign up info.
Having a great day today. Feels like I can do the things that I haven't been released to do including sex!! My husband and I can't wait. We have made each other frustrated by fooling around only! New Year's night is when I found out that I still had feelings and hope that the abdominal moving and tightness did not do any damage to my healing process.
My 2 wk appt revealed that my incision was healing nicely and I only had one bout of a low grade fever with no other complications.
I have been feeling good since Saturday and now realize what is too much and when to quit working around the house.
I will be driving to the mall this week and looking for comfortable shoes and clothes for returning to work.
Scheduled for my 6wk post op exam next week and will discuss with doctor that I still have the swelly belly and spotting going on. I hope that keeping my cervix was not a mistake. I really don't want to have mini periods until I go through normal menopause. Hopefully, the spotting is just the healing process.
The first 2 wks post op were terrible and had a hard time getting comfortable. My mom had her reclining chair delivered to me on day 2 and that was the BEST thing she could have done (besides cook our meals for the 1st two weeks!). I tried to sleep in my bed which was another mistake during the 2nd week. Not a good idea at all....the sofa has been my best friend. Tried to sleep in the bed last night and even though I can get out of it now without much pain, the sofa is still more comfortable.
My husband has been the best support that any woman could ask for. I can't wait to reward him for his efforts (Still nervous about the real deal though....don't want to have any new suprises or pain)!,
