bladder stuck to my uterus
Take it easy and be glad you are taking care of it now. Mine were fused tightly with adhesions and I hate to say it, but I was just at the Dr. again today about the problem....

Claire same thing here, but I had to wear the cath for 10 days. It is a bit of a bother, but I didn't want to take any chances with my bladder. Take care!

bladder stuck to my uterus
Oh boy Ellen. That worries me! My uterus and bladder were adhered very tightly - the doctor said "almost cemented" together and it took him over 1/2 hour to seperate them. He said he did some "proactive work" and hope I won't have any further bladder problems. What kind of problems are you having?

Tanya, don't worry, you are taking care of it and yourself.... I go ...A LOT ( frequently), have discomfort, can't really explain it, a pulling, not burning .......I really don't want you to worry, I was just telling you so that you would be glad you are taking care of it now!! I should have said something to Dr. earlier than I did, I just kept thinking it was healing and would go away....

My bladder and uterus were also adhered together -- the process of separating the two organs added 1 hour to my surgery time.
Be very gentle with yourself and take care.

bladder stuck to my uterus
Hey glad to have found you all. Had my hyst June 25th and had the same "sticky" problem. I had urethral stents placed during the surgery to help visualize ureters. I needed to be straight cathed twice after they pulled the foley cath out. Now that I have been home a few days, I feel like I have a bladder infection. I'm thinking I might need to call my doc tomorrow and pee in a cup......I'm just not sure if I should call my surgeon or my family physician???

You are so new out of surgery I would call the surgeon...good luck!
Remember if it is infection the sooner you get it taken care of the better!

bladder stuck to my uterus
I wound up calling my family doc simply because it was a 5 minute drive verses a 40 minute drive. Anyhow.......the test she did in her office showed WBC's and RBC's in my urine.......she is sending it off to the lab for further testing. In the mean-time, I was started on an antibiotice. Hoping for relief soon!

bladder stuck to my uterus
Sounds like a common problem! I guess I'm glad to hear that. My bladder was also adhered to my uterus and added about an hour to the surgery. I was fortunate enough to not need the catheter left in beyond 24 hours. Hopefully it will stay that way, I haven't had any trouble yet and I'm on day 5 post-op... Good luck to everyone!!
