dr visit today -- 4 more weeks --

Had my 8 week check up today. Was not at all what I had in mind.

I am out of work for another 4 weeks; and was told point blank -- "if I catch you doing something you shouldn't be doing I will kick your butt!" -- DR

My recovery hasn't had many issues at all, just a few infections here and there. The problem is that I am a slow healer, always have been. Also, the problem is that I can't sit still; must keep moving. I was feeling great at about the 6-7 week mark, but I must have pushed myself because of feeling good. By doing that I set myself back about a week from healing; therefore I am still VERY tender and sore. I can't sit for very long, or walk very far before I put myself into some serious swelly belly.

My advice -- rest as much as you can - don't overdo it when you are feeling good, because it could set you back as it did me. It will be 12 weeks out of work, and I thank God I have a wonderful boss who understands. Plus, I am able to do some work from home, so that keeps me from loosing my mind.

So, I will do some more puzzles and read some more magazines -- maybe clean out my draws for the Goodwill bin.
