New type of pain at 6 weeks post op

I had the Di Vinci Robotic procedure (kept ovaries) on 8/17/10 and have done very well. I went back to work at 2 weeks, started walking my mile at 3 weeks and have pretty much been doing great. My belly discomfort had been getting better every day but I did alot of bending over on Sat and now am experiencing ALOT of tenderness and pain in my lower belly. It is very tender to touch. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I am debating calling my Dr. but don't really want to just yet. I still have a pretty good pooch for a belly too. Thanks for any input!

It sounds like you overdid it and your muscles are reacting. However, having said that I am not a doctor and I would probably call and ask him. I think I would try to rest and maybe try heat or ice(whichever seems to help more) and see if it improves with rest. If not, call the doc for sure. Hope you feel better. It is easy to overdo and have your muscles start screaming at you. Sending hugs

Thanks! I'll try this and see how I feel. I just hate to call the Dr. and sound like a complainer.

i know i hate to call my doc too - however, that is what they get paid the big bucks for. I would say you overdid it and you need to rest. I over did it yesterday and my stomach muscles are sore. I have been downmost of the day with my feet up. A heating pad helps me - I feel like it relaxes the muscles.
