Third opinion and then........

I had my third opinion today............ the same thing ... large fibroid must have hysterectomy ... total .. abdominal.. ohhhhhhhh ... don't know what to say... so confused ... mixed feelings

If you have that big a fibroid, you do need a TAH. If you're not in very much pain, I can understand why you have mixed feelings about it. If you're young and haven't had children yet, I can understand why you have mixed feelings about it. Heck, I fought having a hysterectomy for four years, and I was in pain much of the time and I'd already had a child. It is scary, but I hope you take a deep breath and select the best doctor you can.

I have got 3 children. It's not a matter of children. It is really scary. I am not prepared to change my daily routine. Whenever i feel pain, i start to say, ok let's do it. other times when i feel alright. I say: nooooo, i will leave everyhting as is.
