Final Approval!!!

Wow, you had lots of great news today. I hope the date went as well as the rest of your day.

I am scheduled for June 8th too. I just found out I would be having the surgery on 5/10 got my date on 5/11 and on 5/18 already got a letter from the insurance company approving it. Things sure are moving fast!

Final Approval!!!

Sorry I didn't reply right away - it was a busy weekend! I was told that it was standard procedure for this company to require the tests. They also checked my thyroid. I have to laugh over the pg test though - I had my tubes ties 2 1/2 years ago and was tested to make sure they "took" and the company had the proof of those good results. They wanted it anyway. I told them I didn't care as long as there was no finanacial responsibility on my part for the tests. I have no problem paying for the important things. They're just CYAing. They're afraid that if they operate and find out I'm preggo and the baby dies that I'd sue. I stunned the woman on the phone with the response of "Well wouldn't I need to have sex to be preggo? That hasn't happend in 18 months and I"m not an elephant, so I guess I"m not pregnant!" (Oh, was I in a bad mood that day!)

As expected, I'm not pg. LOL And all is a go. Good luck!

My surgery is June 8th too. We can all think of and pray for each other. Congratulations on your radio station calling - sounds like fun! Do you know if most insurance companies require things like pg tests, etc. I have my hospital and doctor pre-op appointments next week but the hospital said they would notify insurance. Just wondering if that is usually the case for them to require extra things. Isn't Hyster Sisters wonderful?? I love it!!!

Frog, toad, it's all the same. LOL What a terrible date! He kept looking at his cell phone reading news alerts. I mean come on, he's a cable repairman, not FBI! It was an early night. LOL

Christine -

There are a lot more frogs than princes these days. Luckily, most of us are strong, independent woman and we don't have to have a frog or a prince any more. - Not that one wouldn't be nice, but... Better luck next time on the date. - I hope you are feeling optomistic about your surgery. Keep us posted.

Final Approval!!!

We're going Sat the 29th in the evening. They're taking us for a ride around Kansas City (past my ex-MIL's) and then stopping at Sheridan's (because they serve only hotdogs for hot food) to pass out Oscar Mayer whistles, coupons and snacks. Since it's a Sat, her class can't go. But I have a friend who teaches across the hall, she has 2 kids and we'll all go together. The car only holds 5 extra passengers, so between Katie, Samantha, her two kids and I, we have those seats filled!

It is sooooo muggy here today. We're expecting severe weather later and it's starting to darken up. Feels like the dang front is on top of us! I keep sending my kids out in the hall for water every 15 mins or so. We don't have A/C in most of this school and I will not be responsible for a kid getting heat stroke.

Smiles,
Christine

I hear you on that...but a nice night out once in a while wouldn't hurt. I have another date this Thurs night with a new guy - this one seems more promising. We'll see and I'll let you guys know.

I am totally optimistic about my surgery! In fact, they were teasing me at lunch that they were going to get me some pon poms and a t-shirt that says "Hysterectomy here I come!" on it. My co-workers are such nuts! I'm not offended because that's how I've approached it myself. They're good people, if I had been more serious or upset about it, they would have reacted in a more serious manner. Oh, and I coach cheerleading, hence the pon poms.

Smiles,
Christine
