INTRODUCING: Aunt Flo and her farwell tour!~
WHOOHOO! It is the last first day of my period I will ever have(hopefully!!! nothing is impossible). She made her apperance last night with some spotting. I guess she wanted to go out with a bang because I have been doing the poop dance for 3 days!!! I guess she must have gotten the word downstairs that they were in on this surgery too. My whole body is mad as ever! I have never had diarrhea so bad. I have been so nauseated and swelled up that I would swear I was pregnant. And gas! OMG! I have had gas so bad my tummy is hard and growls like I am starving. This morning I am cramping horribly(I usually do not have very bad cramps at all)and am passing some huge clots(I dont do that either!).
With everything that is going on my doc did one heck of an exam on the 19th and I wonder if he helped cause some of this. He was mashing and shoving and feeling around in both ends. Since I have all this prolapse I just wonder if he got things irritated cause I wasnt sick till the next day. Imodeum doesnt touch it either,I have literally been so weak I have been sleeping in my daughters bed downstairs by the bathroom. I was too dizzy to walk up and down the stairs.
Anyway it is my day to party and let me tell you........My ultimate reward for all of this is getting to give Flo her walking papers at the age of 30! We are baking a cake, getting some ice cream and we are celebrating. I might even buy some wine and have a big steak dinner! This is day 1 of my new beginning. I am going to stay positive!!!~ Even if I doo feel like yuck!
Wishing you all the best....I cant believe that I have been here for so long with no idea if I was even gonna get surgery and wham bam I am sitting here 15 days away!!!

You should go read the little "party" we're having on this other thread! You'll giggle - and look forward to when you can sing your own little "I don't miss you" song to Aunt Flo!

re: pad and tampon burning party
Isn't great not to have to worry, and having a good bye party for Aunt Flo.
It's like from the movie The sound of music. "So long farewell."
My last period was 3 weeks ago today. I'm so glad that I don't have to worry about her, taking bcp any more. Especially having pad burn in the summer time.

I think a farewell party for Auntie Flo is an excellent idea ! It seems like she knows something is up here with me and is giving it one last hurrah before my surgery! Ugh! Keep telling myself it will all be over soon and then I will join the other princesses! Trying to keep myself busy with things here at home and will have my pre-op tests next Tuesday. Best wishes to all !

INTRODUCING: Aunt Flo and her farwell tour!~
Many congratulations to you!
I was scheduled for my TAH on June 8th and already celebrated with a last period party and then, bam.
My doctor needed surgery on a cervical disk in his neck which was scheduled for this past Friday ... and he will be out for 6 weeks.
So, I guess I'll throw myself another party in June
It was hilarious because when his nurse called to cancel, I told her fine, but I did want her to pass a message along to my doctor which was:
1.) A bowel prep is a must
2.) He must cut his pubic hair down to 1/2 inch
We laughed and laughed! He had surgery on his neck for goodness sakes, not his private areas! I couldn't resist
** Anyway, I wish you well on your journey

My mother has been a great deal of support durring all of this for me. She has Fibro and is sometimes barely able to work. However she has taken on a extra day of work JUST to help pay my bills. I told her today that when this whole ordeal is over she,I amd my hubby are all going out for dinner. I mean nice dinner! Steak, lobster whatever! I want to be able to sit down with no kids and drink wine and have an adult dinner.
For now we are gonna eat cake and ice cream like there is no tomorrow. Good riddens Flo....I never really liked you to begin with!!!!!!!
