Still In Pain

Lots of sisters are still in significant pain at three weeks from the threads I've read. But the phantom pain you're describing I would be concerned about. Hopefully someone here will know something about them. If not, I'd call my Doctor and ask if I were you. Good luck!

Still In Pain

Hi there!

I would think phantom pains would happen much later...after 6 mos. even....you are still very early from major surgery and I hope you are just having normal soreness and pain.
I have found after this type of surgery, you have to go week by week and not day by day to measure pain....I hope you are really taking it easy and resting a lot!
If ever in doubt though...a Dr. is just a phone call away...weekend or not!

Blessings, Plumie!

Still In Pain

Hi. I experienced the same thing you are feeling. My doctor told me it was just stitches disolving. You are fine as long as you are not pushing it. Pretty soon..you will not even realize they are gone until it hits you! I found relief from a heating pad. My hysterectomy was in Nov (17th), and I am amazed at the amount of strength and energy I have back. I was really expecting it to take a year. Take care of yourself now, b/c you only heal once.
Best Wishes...Happy Easter.

Still In Pain

I agree it should be day by day...I had a little incident on which I posted a thread titled, help, please.....and that was really scary. after, I had shooting pain through my tummy in all sorts of weird places. I dont have that today, despite alot of things I had to do. I have had a few strong pains, like labor pains, but otherwise, nothing. It is so weird how each day brings a different experience. Night time is the hardest for me.
