Can't handle the pressure in my abdomen post-op 2 days. vh

Not sure if it is gas or swelling. Maybe both, but I don't see much advice on what to do. Any thoughts?

gas x, walking around, lots of water?

Probably some of both. I found that laying flat helped with the gas pain for me. If I sat up, even just propped up or head elevated in the hospital bed, I felt more gas pain in my upper abdomen. Laying flat helped that immensely.

I also know that walking helps move that gas around. Every time I got up to go to pee I took a lap around the kitchen, dining room, living room, and foyer, then back to the couch.

Keep up with whatever pain meds your doctor prescribed, as well as plenty of fluids.

Lots of people like the abdominal bands, but I didn't get one until recently (I'm 2 weeks out already) so I'm still fiddling around with it.

Have a peek at the post op videos and checkpoints ... Very useful. And it's only 2 days! Take your pain meds and lay down! REST!
