Monthly Headaches AFTER TAH??

Could I be still having my monthly headache after my TAH?? I woke up w/ one this morning and looked at the calender and it's been 28 days since my last headache. Monday will be my 6 week mark. I was hoping that this would remedy my monthly problems!! I also was very irritable last night and my tongue feels weird, just like when I still had everything!! Weird, huh??
Anybody able to shed some light on this would be greatly appreciated!!

Well, unfortunately, you are in the club with a lot of us migraneurs after a TAH. Did you keep your ovaries? If you did, you're like me...I had a small vacation from migraines after the TAH and then they came to visit again. And if that isn't weird enough, my girlfriend had a TAH/BSO 10 years ago and still gets monthly cramps, cravings and mood swings!! I feel for you. I have already had 2 migraines since my surgery. I guess mine are not all hormone related! I didn't always get one with my monthly cycle, but I was hoping for some relief. Dangit...I guess not. Must be more stress related than anything.

Shell, did you have everything out?? We sound quite a bit alike. I also had enlarged uterus and huge fibrods. I also had a cyst on my left ovary. But when they took it out they said it was no biggie, but one CT scan had said 6.6 cm. A girl I swim with brought to my attention, "It's a cyst, sometimes it's filled w/ fluid, sometimes it drains" Totally explained the symptoms had had been having for over a year. Sharp shooting pains (when it was full) toxic flu like symptoms (draining) too bad my Dr. hadn't figured that out!!
