June 8th and this will be over with

HI EVERYONE...WELL TUESDAY IS MY SURGERY DAY AND I AM SCARED AND WORRIED BUT HOLDING MYSELF TOGETHER SO FAR...I AM HAVING A COMPLETE HYSTER AND HAVE WORRIES ON WHAT WILL BE FOUND AT THE SURGERY...I HAVE FIBROIDS AND IN MAY I HAD TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM FOUR TIMES BECAUSE OF SO MUCH BLEEDING...I FELT LIKE THIS WAS SOMETHING NEW AND DIFFERENT...I HAD HUGE CLOTS AND THEY WOULD HAVE TO GIVE ME AND IV WITH MEDICATION TO STOP IT..ALSO TWICE I HAD TO HAVE BLOOD...I KNOW THIS IS A RELIEF SO THAT I CAN HAVE A NORMAL LIFE AGAIN, BECAUSE THIS IS NO WAY TO LIVE..I KNOW THAT IT HAS TO BE DONE AND ALL THAT...BUT I STILL WORRY..I HAVE NEVER BEEN PUT TO SLEEP, I WONDER WHAT THEY WILL FIND AT SURGERY, WORRIED ABOUT THE PAIN AFTER...I GUESS WHAT YOU WOULD CALL ME IS A BASKET CASE...I HAVE PANIC ATTACKS SO I GUESS THAT MAKES IT EVEN WORSE...BUT I AM LUCKY THAT I HAVE A DAUGHTER THAT WILL BE HOME WITH ME DURING RECOVERY WHO IS 21...I ALSO HAVE A DAUGHTER THAT IS 24 WHO WILL BE WITH ME AT NIGHT AFTER SHE IS OFF WORK..SO I HAVE THE SUPPORT SYSTEM THAT I NEED...IF ONLY MY MIND WOULD LET ME RELAX BEFORE TUESDAY...WHAT WITH THE SURGERY DATE IN FOUR DAYS AND THEN THE WORRY OF HAVING TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY TRIP BEFORE THEN POSSIBLY IS WEIGHING HEAVY ON MY MIND...I KNOW THAT YOUR POSTS HAVE HELPED TREMENDOUSLY ALREADY AND I READ THEM ALL THE TIME BECAUSE NOW I DONT FEEL ALONE IN ALL THIS...MY PROBLEM IS LIKE ALOT OF YOURS AND I FEEL GOOD KNOWING THAT WOMEN ARE OUT THERE THINKING AND FEELING HOW I DO...THANK YOU FOR YOUR POSTS AND YOUR COMMENTS AND THE CONCERN YOU SHOW...THIS IS A GODSEND...GAYLE

my surgery is the same as yours. I agree it will be good when this is over. I know there is so much to do to prepare but somehow, I can't seem to get much done.

Feels like I am hanging in space waiting for something to happen some how.

Anyway I hope it goes well for you, see you on the other side.

My surgery is also on June 8. I'm nervous too but also really looking forward to having a normal life. Try not to worry too much about being put to sleep. It's really not bad at all. One minute you're talking to the anesthesiologist and the next thing you know they are waking you up in recovery.
I know what you mean about this site...I think I would have lost my mind without it! There have been many nights when i couldn't sleep that reading posts from the hystersisters has gotten me thru the night.
Hang in there...just a few more days to go....Oh no, how will I ever get it all done???!!!

I, too, am having my surgery on the 8th. I am dreading it and looking forward to getting it over with at the same time. I have my pre-op today so it will feel like things are finally rolling. Seems like it's taken forever for this time to get here. I have a busy weekend planned trying to get things done like cleaning, shopping, etc.

My surgery is the 8th also. I know where your coming from about being nervous. I cant sleep at night & during the day Im trying to get things done around the house. but the surgery is on my mind. But we will all be ok. I will keep you in my prayers. Im so thankful for the hyster site. I have found it to be so helpful. Just remember to take good care of yourself and pamper yourself like a queen. do what the Dr. orders. Lots of rest

Time for some cyber-hand holding, we all need to stick togther on this one, thank-you everbody for the chat, support and interest you have shared, without it I think i'd have been taking bites out the hearth rug by now-lol.

enjoy your weekends, we're on our way to getting back control of our lives and feeling better, freeing ourselves from our pesky physical problems and all the mental and emotional turmoil they have put us and our loved ones through, enabling us to go on to become the people we know we should be. Crumbs I sound like a self-help manual!!

OK once again JUNE 8 IS GONNA GO GREAT, JUNE 9 WE'LL BE FEELING FINE, JUNE 10 BE GETTING BETTER AGAIN ..........um i cant think of a rhyme for the 11th ......little help here.......

How about JUNE 11 ON THE WAY TO NO PAID HEAVEN.

Pretty bad but it does rhyme.

Good luck ladies, my date is not until the 10th. Will keep my fingers crossed for your speedy recovery.

I will be going in on June 8th also. I am happy to get it over with but alittle nervous too.

I know of threee women who have had this surgery. One just 2 weeks ago. I spoke with her this morning. She said it is not bad at all. She barely has any pain.

I know everyone is different, but I am hoping for a fast recovery like her.
