My helpful little hospital tip

I found that a few things made my hospital stay more pleasant, especially when it came to sleeping.

1. Ear plugs to drown out the many noises that hospitals have. I even had to use ear buds one night with a nice, relaxing playlist on my iPhone because my roommate was a very loud person.

2. A sleep mask to drown out all the light. This was especially helpful for napping during the daytime but was also nice when the nurses came in for vitals and had to turn on the lights.

3. A small pillow. This definitely comes in handy for splinting your belly when you cough/laugh/sneeze but is even more handy for putting between or under your legs in the hospital bed.

I found all three of these at Walgreens for under $7 and they really helped me get good, quality rest while hospitalized.
