Week 10 Sharp Pains
I wake up with them sometimes which leads me to believe it may be the way I am sleeping ( I sleep with a body pillow still ). Somedays I feel great except at night when the famous swelly belly comes. Today I went back to the gym I went slow and it went well. I don't think the pain is from the gym since I get that stabbing pain alot. And just to add, On the Cat Scan and ultra sound they couldn't see my right ovary and when the Dr opened me one of the Fibroids had eatten the ovary. So maybe between the thongs that held me open and most of the work was on my right side that maybe the reason behind my pain? Can anyone relate to this?

Work?
You work 14 hour days ? after going though this ? you are my hero. I am on disability for a year now I had problems with my lungs. I know there would be no way I could work right now unless I could go there naked The pain does go down my right leg so it must be nerves. And in 4 weeks I am going away to the NJ Shore I wanted to be all well. I don't think that will ever happen. I was a size 9, yesterday I was a size 14. I gained only 8 pounds since May but the swelly belly and the insicion hurting. When will this all stop?

Week 10 Sharp Pains
Janet59, hang in there . I too had constant soreness and pain from belly button down to my incision(bikini). I had read a thread about doing light stomach excersizes(just sucking in the belly while lying down at 10/20 secintervals)Started to do them a few days ago and believe it or not, I'm feeling a whole lot better. It doesn't take much effort, I do them lying down on my bed, while I watch TV.
You mentioned you will be going to NJ shore in a few weeks. You just brought me back so many wonderful fond memories while I was growing up. My grandmother had a summer cottage in Avalon within walking distance from the shore. As a kid I remember the huge waves, oh the hours of fun we had(and the ripping sunburns to go with it).She also had a dock in her backyard that we did alot of crab catching. I always remember going to Wildwood and having so much fun.Spent so many summers there growing up.Gram passed away many years ago and the family had sold her cottage but really wanted to thank you for making me remember all those wonderful times we had.
Just relax and have fun at the shore, remember we all heal differently and at different times. You will get better. Lots of hugs coming your way.

Thank you ladies
DM44, I haven't been to the shore since I was single 15 years ago. My girlfriends and I used to have so much fun. I took that time for granted. We were all single, no problems, starting our jobs, parents alive, and no health issues. My friends and I have been together since we were 13. I lost one of my dear friends 3 years ago to Ovarian Cancer. I know how lucky I am to be alive. And I also know she was there with me and still is.
How long do we all have to wait to feel like ourselves again? is this a lifetime sentence? How these women go to work after this I have no idea my heart goes out to them. But the gym did feel nice today. Tomorrow it will be 101 think I will stay inside

Week 10 Sharp Pains
I had this also after I slept on my side and attributed it to that; however, I now notice that everytime I do too much walk too far inadvertently lift something heavy the sharp pains return. I am not sure what they are but I had to think they are related to activity.

I called my Doctor
But she won't call me until tomorrow I will let you know what she says. Sometimes it feels like my right leg goes numb. My left side is fine. I can also feel both ends of the insicion but not the middle. from what friends say I may never get the feeling back under my belly button.
