To My September Sisters

Well I had my surgery 2 days ago and I just want everyone to know that is still nervous and waiting that I feel wonderful. I ended up with a LAVH/RSO. The doctor found alot more wrong in there once he got in than he expected. But I feel wonderful and the only pain meds I have needed at all was just plain ole Motrin. Haven't even had any of that since 4 am this morning. (8:45pm now). I came home in less than 48 hours. I have been up walking the street and even went and watched an inning and a half of my sons ball game (I know you don't have to tell me to stay in bed) I admit it...I was bad. But I just wanted to let everyone who is still waiting and nervous that you will be fine and come out better for it.

Good Luck to all.

Karen

Welcome Home Karen. I'm so happy your experience at the castle was a positive one and that you're recovering well.

Now that you're home, it is important to remember that you've just had major surgery and that you need to as much as you can, staying away from basebal games, to plenty of liquid and to for recovery.

Looking forward to reading your story.

Re: To My September Sisters

Thanks for all of the good wishes. I appreciate it. I am having such a hard time staying still though. I feel great!!!!! I called my doctors office to schedule an appt to get stitches out and they told me I sounded entirely too cheerful.

I'll keep you posted.
