Soaking in a tub??

I would ask your Doc cuz mine said not for 6 weeks due to bacteria forming inside. It is dark and damp in there so bacteria would have a hey day. She also told me no swimming for the same amount of time and for the same reasons. Just check with your Doc everyone is different. Hope this helps some.

Soaking in a tub??

I was allowed after the steri-strips came off at about 2 weeks. So check with your doc, cuz every one seems to have a different opinion!

Relax and take care,

Soaking in a tub??

I had no restrictions on having baths ( apart from the fact that it was a week before I was able to lower myself into it!!)
I loved my bath. It seemed to ease the achy belly and also broke up the long, boring day. I could make my bathing ritual take up half the morning!
Check with your dr.
Good luck

Soaking in a tub??

I would definitely check with your dr. I was able to take a bath just as soon as I left the castle. The only things he stressed were (1) not falling; (2) make sure I dried my incision really well after getting out. But like it was mentioned before every dr has his own opinion. I would ask though because if your dr is male he may not understand the "importance" of taking a real bath!!!

Soaking in a tub??

Thank you all for all of the help. I did not expect so much input but it really helps! I am a young woman of 33 who had to have a LAVH because of endo. So none of my friends here understand what i am going threw or have any advice for me so everyone telling me what they have gone threw helps so much!! Thank you !!
