Then call back! Please! That's what he told you to do, so that should be within their allowed phone calls.

Re: Horrible pain and bleeding

If your bleeding has worsened, then call back as the doc instructed. There is no need for you to be in distress. Otherwise at least lie down and rest to see if the bleeding slows. Keep us posted.

Re: Horrible pain and bleeding

I haven't called the doctor yet. When I lay down the bleeding stops but any time I get it or go to the bathroom it starts. The pain is still there. One of those I hate to bother the doctor. What if I'm overreacting?

that is what they are there for. I would call back or even better go to the ER. If it is a pulled stitch and the bleeding is heavy they can decide at the hospital what needs to be done. Take care and keep us posted please.

And now I'm passing clots. Now I'm really starting to panic. When my boyfriend gets home I may go to the ER.

He won't be home for a couple hours so I guess I'll take myself.

Re: Horrible pain and bleeding

You really do need to see someone. The rule of thumb is to call your doc immediately if you soak a regular maxi pad in an hour of less and/or if you are passing clots larger than a walnut. This was on my discharge papers from the hospital and you should not mess with this.
If you have coverage nothing wrong s calling an ambulance but you for sure must tell the ER the above. It's important.
Thinking of you and please let us know how you are doing.
