Re: 6 week checkup news

This was so helpful! I am 3 1/2 weeks post Davinci and feeling discouraged that I am not doing better than I am. And I seem to have a UTI. Its nice to hear confirmation that it flat out just takes time to get completely better. Thank you for sharing.

I am 3+ months post daVinci. 46 and on HRT. Everything plus appendix taken. I had a large benign cyst, adeno, other small cysts and fibroids. Hang in there! I felt crappy at 3-4 weeks and thought I had UTI. Is wasn't--just normal swelling and dr said things were a little angry. She had me take AZO for 3days even though no infection. It gave my bladder a little break and then I felt so much better. By 8 weeks I felt better than I have in a really long time. I decided to take up bike riding since I'm so out of shape and I feel so good about my recovery now. Please be encouraged and look ahead to the time when you feel wonderful and healthy!

I didn't realize I HAD a vaginal cuff. LOL

Lord I'm 45 and sound 15. LOL

Ha ha! Nobody mentioned the cuff thing to me either...so I found out on my own, as I love to research and inform my family & friends on what's happening to my body at every stage...I think they are getting tired of my "lectures" (LOL!). But arming myself with information has really helped me in my journey as I tend to get anxious & freaked out about stuff like this even tho I have a background in health care. Thanks to this site and others, I feel I can relax a bit more & rest easier. Heal well friend!!

Thank you for the encouragement - I have felt depressed! I know that you are right - I will be so happy by the end of the summer. I think it is just hard to handle recovery from something like this where the recovery isn't completely predictable. You get better, then you feel worse, you go to the mall for fun, then you spot, your tummy is flat (-ish) one day, your tummy looks 6 months pregnant the next. I appreciate you sharing.
