These are what I brought with me!

Things I could not have done without:

-My own underwear, a couple of pads/panty-liners, nightie/long t-shirt (forget about PJs!) and light cardigan (I found the bath robe too warm...)
-mobile phone - great for texting, and the nursing staff never told me off, had it on at all times (single room, private hospital) - there WAS a land-line provided with direct-line
-slippers - plastic ones, you don't know what you'll catch on bathroom floors, even if it is a hospital
-shower cap - no hair-dryer, and cannot stand to blow-dry it anyway since it'd take too long
-books/comics (well, actually my friends dropped those off for me...)
-Water, Water, Water (ok. I didn't actually have to bring this with me.... but I drank a lot of it, the cordial at the hospital was soooo sweet!) - it also helps AFTER....
-the TV remote
-the lovely foldable hospital bed....
-and having asked my friends NOT to send me flowers to the hospital! (I was in for 3 nights)
