Anyone gain weight since hysterectomy

Initially I lost weight due to the nausea caused by the anaesthetic but since then due to not being allowed to do any vacumming/heaving lift etc for 12 weeks (not to mention christmas) I have put on about a stone in weight. I am struggling to find the motivation to lose the weight and even though I did have a roll of flab around my middle before the op I look pregant and when the swelly belly strikes it looks even worse.

Yes. about 3lbs which isn't much but I do notice flab in the form of muscle loss. Plus I crave chocolate so much!

Feel pretty pathetic really and I too am on a 12 week restriction.

I was holding out hope that all my parts would weigh about 10 lbs but sadly that wasnt the case. I had some belly fat before hand but when I weighed myself 2 days post-op I had gained almost 8 lbs. Well there goes that plan. But several days of not eating I have lost almost all of it but I still have to deal with the weight i needed to lose in the first place. Plan on walking more as it warms up outside. Maybe I will feel better because it sure is pretty blah right now

I'm up 10-15lbs after surgery due to inactivity and eating I assume... Not pleased, but waiting till I get my 6 week clearnace (fingers crossed) so that I can start doing something about the excess weight!

I am 5 weeks post op after TAH. I have gained 5lbs, I am sick of my sagging belly getting bigger everyday. I cant wait to start my regular workout.

It's been 4 weeks since I had mine, I'm having hot flashes, night sweats and I get so hungry, craving sweets. I lost 15 right after the operation because of nausea, but after 3 weeks OMG I gained about 8 lbs already. It's bad enough that I have to deal with all those other things that we now have to go through, so I need to find a way to control my appetite. I'm only 5' 1' , swollen saggy belly now. Dying to start some kind of exercise program.

I had lost 5 lbs right after my surgery, but now almost 5 weeks post op, it is starting to creep back up. I really don't want to gain any more weight. I know that a lot of this has to do with lack of activity, and my appetite is back. I am crossing my fingers that it will stay down.

ive lost about 10 which makes me sooo happy. but from the sounds of it im gonna gain it back plus some so who knows whatll happen

I don't step on the scale (I'm 9 weeks post-op.) I must have gained some weight because some of my clothes just don't fit the same way BUT I think it's getting better because I am super-vigilant about what I eat (do feel like i'm turning into a goat and I amped up my exercise routine. I just won't settle for less. It's simple math really: calories in minus calories out. However, it is freaking HARD work and don't let anybody say it otherwise.

Not sure if I have gained any weight or not but wow is my appetite out of control. I am trying my best to control it though. Before surgery I had lost 25 pounds and have at least 100 to go.I hope that I haven't gained much. I will find out next week at my appt. At my staple removal appt. about a week after surgery I had lost 10 pounds since surgery. I guess from being SO sick from the anestesia or pain meds. and not eating much at all just drinking.
