Need help/support!

I would like to share with my sisters and need help, it is day 14 that I had TAH/BSO. I have noticed it affected my mood. I am not the same person anymore, is this happening to anyone after surgery. My anger is beyond now, just want to smack. (not that I am really doing it). Does organ can play this huge role?
I hit menopause few years back.

I am still getting sharp cramping and passing gas same time, taking pain meds to control pain. yes I went to see Dr and know it is healing, I am very tired now.
I will call my surgeon soon, do have follow up end of this month.
I am very lost, if anyone having same issues please let me know. Feel free to private message me.
Thanks for listening.

Need help/support!

I know that your ovaries do play a role in general health even after menopause. With yours now surgically gone, I bet your hormone levels have dropped further. I do think some of the anger is related to being restricted with activity-the boredome that has set in!! It is major surgery-and six weeks is the minimum time for most recoveries. Let us know how it goes with your doctor.

Re: Need help/support!

Anesthesia can affect mood. I kept my ovaries and have been having major mood swings. Are you doing any HRT, biodentical, or natural supplements? They might help.

Re: Need help/support!

You know I've been moody too. In some ways I'm less moody and more appreciative. It's very weird how much this changes a person.

Re: Need help/support!

Confession: I gave in to Xanax.

I couldn't chill and watch everything around me from the sofa without stressing and the brain racing... Doctor prescribed low dosage to take up to 3 times a day.

Re: Need help/support!

I had a TAH, BSO one day after you. I am 48 and had not had menopause yet. I am extremely frustrated with my inability to do much yet. I have a business with employees, and not being there is very hard, adding to stress. I do notice more mood swings and emotions than usual - not sure if this is due to being angry at being trapped in a non-functioning body still, or if hormones have hit. Probably both. I know keeping as positive as possible helps in recovery, so I'm trying to do that... also trying not to scare my support system away Just wanted you to know: You are not alone...
