Re: Has anyone else had this happen
Hi! I too am having surgery on the 10th.
My period is due to show on Monday before surgery. I am hoping she forgets. And I know that doesnt answer your question but wanted to say that my nerves are so out of whack the past few days that I have had an upset stomach from it. My IBS is kicked into high gear when my I get nervous so your not alone with things getting whacky from the nerves.
Good luck on your surgery. And hope your AF forgets to show too.

Re: Has anyone else had this happen
Hi Vaun...although my periods were very inconsistent the past year, they still came around every three weeks. Sometimes two. Yet, my last ended Feb. 16th.
On Feb. 20th, I met with the surgeon to set the date for this coming Monday April 9th.
A last ditch effort by leasee uterus to remain? To stop the eviction notice given? A promise, made in vain I'm sure, to "be good?" The problem is the renovating uterus did...enlarging to a 18 wk pregnancy and the sub-letting to a few, huge, fibroid friends. My other organs say "HEY, stop hogging all the room." And I, as the landlord, am SO SICK and TIRED of being SICK and TIRED all the time. No stay of eviction forthcoming, my old uterus friend. It's time for us to part ways.....

Re: Has anyone else had this happen
Yes, this is happening to me right now. My surgery is scheduled for April 13 and my last period was March 4. Now I usually have one about every 20 days so I am definitely wondering what is going on. Not even any spotting. I am 53 so i am thinking "is it finally here, the bit Pause?" You start to wonder if you are crazy. Then I have pain and get fatigued. I can't run as far as i am used to and I say to myself "yes you are doing right thing". I have never skipped a period so I just don't know.

Re: Has anyone else had this happen
Not exactly. My doc induced bleeding to flush out more stuff before surgery. So I was bleeding (the heaviest I was going to ) the day of surgery. Thankfully they're used to it and are prepared with the maternity mesh undies and pads. Best wishes!
