And my left laparoscopic incision has some bruising under it where as the other 2 incision have no bruising....please if any one had had this or know what it is a sign of please let me know, doctors office Said it's normal due to my positioning in surgery. Re: Burning pain

Hi! You are about 10 days out and it's still really early in your recovery. You had both laproscopic and abdominal incisions? It could be nerve pain from having the tissues disturbed by the laproscopic probes, if you have external bruising, think about the internal buising that there must be. Even with minimally invasive surgery, there is a lot of "mucking" around internally and this causes inflammation and tissue swelling. Do you notice the pain with specific movements? Or is it constant? If it's intermittent with movement it is probably nerve and muscle if it's constant it could be an internal hematoma or bruise. Have you tried an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen, it helps to take it regularly if you tolerate it. If in the next day or so with an anti-inflammatory if it doesn't improve I'd contact the surgeon again. Also post surgery we are at risk for pulmonary embolism. If you have a sharp pain in the chest on inspiration, that would need to be checked out. Hope this helps. It's hard to know what all these various twinges are, but most likely it's just your body healing.
