New Food Allergies???

OK, I've never been allergic to any food in my life and now I'm suddenly allergic to strawberries. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm sure there's the possibility that this is just coincidence, but with everything else that's gone with this surgery, I'm going to blame it for the allergy, too.

I haven't noticed any food allergies. I'm only 11 days post op. I did notice that there were certain foods that didn't appeal to me.....I took a bite of pizza and I just about gagged. There were other little things like this that have been happening. I'm sure our bodies will change some.....

I'm nearly 1 year post op and can't have hot oatmeal like I used to. Cream of Wheat I'm fine with but hot oatmeal no way. I also can't stand jello but that might have to do with the pre-op bowel prep foods than anything else.

Leese, Those food taste things will resolve in a few weeks. I remember everything tasting like ashes for a while and I had to remember not to try anything new because I would NOT like it. Allergies, however, I did not expect.... wow.

Thanks! It's good to know this may not be a permanent thing although giving up pizza would probably be a good thing for my butt and thighs! LOL
