good idea??

I think it is probably a good idea. Not all doctors do that though. I know mine didn't. I think they may decide which pain medicine to give you based on your condition upon release from the hospital.

good idea??

When I went for my pre-op, my Dr called down to the pharmacy the prescriptions for pain med and 800mg Motrin. She thought they should be there ready when I got home from the hospital. I didn't have to ask for them.

good idea??

My doctor didn't want to do that because he said that if they didn't do the job in the hospital or I didn't tolerate them well..., he would switch the meds so he wanted to wait and see.
