Well my house is clean and the count down is on!!

It took me the entire weekend but my house (carpets and all) is cleaned and decluttered with the exception of the desk and I'm going to tackle it one night this week. My scrapbook supplies are cleaned out and stashed where I can get to them after surgery if I feel like it. I have a pieces cut out to make a quilt top. Now if everything just stays together until surgery.

Want to spend next weekend getting a manicure and pedicure, take the girls to see Harry Potter and sit by the pool.

Candi, we have abdominal surgeries scheduled for the same day! But you are ahead of me as far as being ready.

I tried to clean up some this weekend, but I also spent lots of time with my friends. Next weekend, the DH and I are going to stop in and see my parents and take our younger son to a concert in Philadelphia, so I'll only have Sunday for pre-op cleaning crazies. I have to work right up to the day before the surgery to save my sick time. I know I won't be too effective that week at work though.

Wish I had time for the manicure/pedicure, but I just don't see it on the schedule anyplace.

I have some hand applique ready and tons of knitting supplies already in the bedroom.

Mine is almost clean....ugh....I need a vacation!

So much junk. How do we collect so much stuff?

Yep....I agree....if everything can just stay together until surgery.

I'm gonna go to the library a couple of days before surgery and load up on books. I LOVE to read and recovery time will give me a good excuse for it.

Told DH this weekend he had to get all of my books out of the attic this week. If it's not something I want to read again I'm taking it to a used bookstore and everything else I want on the shelves in the garage where I can get to them. However, you must understand I have a total of about 7 boxes of books in the attic and garage to go through.

The manicure/pedicure are my Mother's Day present. I told my DH that was all I wanted (him to pay and take the time to watch the girls for me while I went).

Hey kitten...if you don't mind me asking....what part of Alabama are you in? I was born & raised in Selma, Al. - We've been in Florida for 12 years now.

Wow, you guys are way ahead of where I was. My surgery is tomorrow and I cleaned the whole house this weekend, it took 2 full days (I have a large house) but everything is clean and now I can spend the next week without stressing over dust!

you ladies want to come clean my house? LOLs I want to clean, I'm just in like slow motion not getting much done, I'm scheduled for this Friday and work FT so by the time I get home I'm exhausted and get less than 1/2 of what I want done, Good thing its just me and my DH and dogs.

Boy, you are way ahead of me too and my surgery is on the same date as yours. I want to do so much but the old body keeps saying NO!! But I am the kind that works best under pressure anyway..going to quit smoking tonight, going on the patch..so I am sure that will help to motivate me to get my house, and probably a couple of my friends, cleaned LOL! I am also going to the library before the trip to the castle and stock up on books, etc. I am not real crafty but have been wanting to scrapbook for awhile, and sounds like now might be the time for that too. Sure am glad everyone is here..we need not be alone! Take care and keep the peace!

As far as the cleaning goes, my body protested all the way but I just took more pain med and kept pushing.
