Help

HELPHELPHELP I posted last night how anxious I have become. My surgery is in another town from my fiancee. My mother will be ther post-op but I really want my fiancee there. To him this is not a big deal. When I asked him to come visit he asked why. I replied I am having major surgery, his response SO! Am I making a big deal out of nothing? HELP. I feel to young to be having this surgery, especially with no children!

Surgery so far away

I am so sorry you are having this stress right before surgery. I think you need a heart to heart with your Fiance. He may be scared, but if he's just uncaring, he won't be the kind of guy you can lean on down the road. Has he been there for you for other things? Does he get along with your Mom? Try to get him to open up. Guys act funny about this stuff. My DH acted different until we had a talk about the wishes and needs each of us had. Good luck.

Surgery so far away

I am so sorry you are going through this. Absolutely you need to talk to him. Is this just his way of dealing with things or is he really so uncaring and it is a good thing that you see this now. I do know men deal with things differently than women but tell him you need him there for you and that this surgery is absolutely a big deal. Maybe he does not realize how serious or how scary this could be. Best wishes.
