Re: 2 weeks post op - light spotting

I had a bleeding episode about 10 days post-op - I freaked as it was quite heavy but my doctor said it was just internal stitches coming away and being evacuated by the body. She said if there was no temperature, which would indicate an infection, there was nothing to worry about. It stopped later the same day. If you're concerned though, maybe make a call to your doctor?

Re: 2 weeks post op - light spotting

My doctor told me after my daVinci to not be at all surprised if I had some spotting or light bleeding afterwards and said it might not happen right away but might be more like a week or two afterwards when the internal scabs start to break away. I haven't had any bleeding at all so far and am honestly a little more concerned about that. I've seen a lot of people on here who report spotting or minor bleeding a couple weeks out from DaVinci. Of course if it gets heavy I'd definitely call the doctor.

Re: 2 weeks post op - light spotting

called my dr today about bleeding. More than spotting and now bright red. Dr. said it was scabs breaking loose where she had cauterized the blood vessels. Normal. Might even become heavier. If have to change pads hourly then need to get to dr or ER. Should be stopped by week 5 or 6.

Hope this helps.
