Help - CIN III on path report

I had part hystro on 9-17 and that path reports states I have cin iii in my cervix. Do i need to worry about the pre cancer cells moving anywhere else? can't seem to get a true answer. I am feeling so good and have my 6 week check up tomorrow.

Re: Help

Write that down to ask the doctor tomorrow. Internet will tell you lots of different answers. Is it impossible- probably not. Is is possible I don't know the answer your doctor is the best person to ask how much you need to worry and his answer will most likely be based on what the other pathology showed. If in doubt ask to be referred to an oncologist who would be able to give you the best opinion. Good luck and sorry I couldn't give you any more reassurance one way or the other.

Re: Help - CIN III on path report

I'm afraid I can't specifically answer your question regarding CIN III, but that is definitely something to ask your doc at your follow-up appointment. As the other sister mentioned, a gyn/onc consult if possible is never a bad idea where gyn cancer/pre-cancer is concerned. In addition to writing down all of your questions/concerns, don't forget to get copies of your path reports, etc., for your own reference.

I also wanted to invite you to post over on our Cancer Concerns forum, if you'd like. We cover everything there from abnormal paps to actual gyn cancer, and the ladies on CC have been there/done that.

I'm SO glad to hear that your recovery is going well. That's wonderful!

Re: Help - CIN III on path report

Hi I had CIN111 when I was 23 on cervix. It is just pre cancerous cells, they usually do leep procedure and get rid of the cells. It really is pre cancerous cells that may turn to cancer if not treated. It really is nothing to worry about. I hope this helps a little, I know it can be a worry.
