1 month out of surgery, and I have abdominal pain
For some reason the past few days I have been having I don't want to use the word pain, more of a restraining type feeling. I am getting worried. I have been getting better recently and been doing a little more, but not that much...I have literally been a couch(bed) potato. 2 days ago on my left side I started to feel like this pulling feeling and I thought it would go away after a day or so, but it is still here. I have been taking it easy, but am anxious to get some things done before going back to work.
anyone have an opinion on what this might be.
Mary

I have the same thing. Some days are better than others. Unless it is horribly painful I would think its just the healing process. It feels like its pulling and tugging all the time.

pain post-op
I am 3 weeks post-op, and have the same feeling -- always on my left side and it feels like a sharp pulling or tugging. Other than that, I have almost no pain or discomfort at all. I don't know whether it is related more to the hysterectomy or the sling which I had put in. Happy to hear this may be normal.

1 month out of surgery, and I have abdominal pain
I am at 4 weeks from my TAH and have the same type of feeling on my left side (pulling, tender, burning at times). I havn't asked the doc yet becasue I assumed this was normal since it is in the area. Mine is on and off and figured it is because I try to empty the dishwaser or what have you. I just saw the doctor yesterday on two other concerns (leaking and back pain that made me cry). Was worried I may have had kidney infection and/or kink in drain pipes or bladder spasm but the doc thinks it may have been a pulled muscle due to trying to have a bm and the leaking is normal due to nerves being cut in the area and will last about two weeks. They ran urine and blood tests. I have a follow-up appointment in about a week so will ask about that other pain then. In the mean time, don't forget we have our doctors we can ask too though sometimes it is hard to remember all of our questions and concerns when we actually see the doctor. I am glad we have this site to turn to for support. Ok, I will keep my sisters posted.
