Need To Know About Incision

Hi~

Thanks for keeping us posted, we’ve been thinking about you. You might want to use the HS Search feature to read more threads from sisters who’ve had to deal with an open excision as you have.

To do this, go to Search at the top of the page (Or Click HERE)

~Where it says “search by Keyword” type “incision open”

~For best results I’d probably click “search titles only” in this case (most women posting about their incisions mention it in the thread title.)

~Then hit “perform search” and you’ll see that you (unfortunately) have lots of company with this complication.

Hope the healing is better every day. Eat right, rest, and pamper the princess. You’ve been through a lot.

Gentle s,
Beth

Need To Know About Incision

Hazel: I had almost the same thing happen to me. The nurse removed my staples before I left the castle on day 4 post op. I think this was WAY too soon personally. Needless to say the incision came open and ultimately got infected. I had to clean and pack my incision and let it heal from the inside out also. This is a very slow process but it will slowly close up. Try to keep your spirits up. Take care.
