They had to leave one tube/ovary -- will this be a problem?

Hi, I had a TH with Vertical Insicion on May 16th,2006
I am home recovering now with tenderness and still very sore. I don't go back to the doc for another 2 weeks.
I was told that my cervix and unteris were removed, I only had 1 tube and ovary remaing from a etopic prgnancy several years ago. They said my tube and ovary was so damaged and wrapped onto my intestines that the could not remove them. So I am concerned about the effects of having them remaining. Anyone have any clue about this?

Hi misapril...have you spoken to your doc about this concern? If not I would call him/her and have them explain the implications of the remaining ovary and tube to you. Keep asking them questions until you are satisified with the answers you are getting All the best!

I had a tube and ovary removed 10 years ago and then have a TVH last year. I'm left with just one ovary and tube also. I've had no problems and the dr doesn't anticipate and further problems for me. If he did, he would have removed them. Since yours is wrapped up in your intenstines, I would double check with the dr.
