How long till I can ride my bycicle after LAVH?

I have a child carrier on the back of my bike and my children and I enjoy going for bike rides. I haven't been able to lately with all of the infections and cramping going on, but look forward to getting back on. How long after surgery will I be able to get back on without hurting myself?

Hi, this is something that you should talk to your dr about. The type of surgery and your physical condition will probably have a bearing on it. The normal recovery is usually from 6 - 8 weeks. I was allowed back to my clog dancing ( slowly at first ) after 7 weeks. I had a tah/bso.

Jean is right, your dr will have to advise you --- make sure you let him know how big your kids are, because lifting them to put them in their seats could be an issue for you.
